The DJ-live format is simple and devastating: a professional DJ reading the room, with live musicians playing over the top — saxophone solos on the drops, live drums driving the floor, bongos and percussion locking the groove, brass stabs on the classics. It's the energy of a club night with the spectacle of a gig.
Riff Shop — DJ, drums and sax — was born from a Dublin club residency and has taken the format to Croke Park and the Aviva. A standard power supply and a space for the setup. We bring PA, lighting, decks and instruments, and our engineer runs the sound all night.
